Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy
Utilizes eye movements to help change how traumatic memories are stored in our minds. ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) are psychotherapy approaches that enable people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing life experiences. They are an entire therapy model proven to be highly effective for those who have experienced trauma.
DBT-PE aims to help clients stop avoidance and instead confront trauma-related thoughts and situations so that trauma can be effectively processed. To do this, the DBT PE protocol uses two types of exposure; imaginal and in vivo.
Psychotherapy
Acceptance Commitment Therapy focuses (ACT) on accepting oneself and others and commitment to change and self-improvement. This therapy is based on patients making specific actions that concentrate on positive change and acceptance.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) identifies how often negative thought patterns have a destructive impact on our emotions and behaviors. and affect our relationships with ourselves and others.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) provides clients with new skills to manage painful emotions, decrease conflict in relationships, and change their behavioral patterns.
Motivational interviewing (MI) is a counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior.
