Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Group for Adults with Chronic Illness or Pain
The group is 8 to 10 sessions open to adults 18 and older who wish to work on their struggle with the psychological distress caused by a medical illness and struggling to get back to a functional everyday life in some specific way. Depression, anxiety, and stress reactions are common and may amplify the impact of the medical illness.
Group will generate:

Ways to express yourself w/o being judged, misunderstood, or a burden

Ways to learn through shared experiences

Self-care methods

Coping skills

Conversation on shared experience

Value skills

Ways to navigate/manage your thoughts and feelings

Communicate and set limits effectively

Build a sustainable quality of life

Set positive affirming goals
Most insurances is accepted. Sliding scale for self pay
